Sania debacle ; Media celebrates

And, Indian Media, has got a good prey for the next  few weeks to eat and then kill. The last one month was hungry time for National and Regional media. Though Gujarat God - Narendra Modi blessed them, by appearing before SIT, media was not that much satisified. They expected Modi's sparking and punch dialogues!

Making the cheeks of reporters happy, who are running for 'exculsive stories' with nose for news, Sania Mirza, our tennis queen, announced her tie-up with Pakisatani Cricketer Shoaib Malaik. Since then media are competeing each other for publishing and unearthening the background of Sania. Some started debates - Is it right to play for India, even after marrying a Pakistani, When will their marriage happen, Was it a love affair, Where did they first.....?

For publicity, a family claimed that their beloved daughter has married Mr Malik. Without knowing the fact, media rushed into their home and started questioning. What a rubbish...

This is the way our media, makes news and creates ripples in society.

We have so many issues to address and all media are wasting time by telecasting the news of Sania. Why this is happening? Are they working for Sania or money or making audience simpletons?

Welcome, dear journalists

Dear Friends,

I am K Govindan Nampoothiry, a Journalist hailing from Kochi, Kerala. What prompted me to start this blog is simple - create a platform for public to know Journalists.

We know who is the director of Titanic, we know the recent engagement of Shoaib Malaik and Sania Mirza, we know all about Sachin Tendulkar, we know all about Shah Rukh Khan, but all will skip the question who is Pothan Joseph, John Paul, Ramakrishna Pillai etc. They were great journalists and were apt for calling them - journalists. At that time, people observed their actions and had a quest to know them. But now....in our country sadly - time, mind, welath and news are only for cricketers and politicians.

At this juncture, I opened this blog.

I expect your cooperation and support in this venture. I want this session to be 'Live'.

Regards
K Govindan Nampoothiry
